| 563420 | 2007-06-27 09:13:00 | I have come across a problem with a PC running XP & a hp desktop 3820 printer. Both had been running happily together for several Months. The PC lost coms with the printer. Still accepted documents & stored them in the que. No faults or errors came up. Was still shown as default printer. Reinstalled the drv & it worked fine until next startup then had same prob. Swaped the serial cable for usb & problem went away. Curious as to whether the fault was with the printer or the pc. Tryed the printer on a different XP PC with serial, no probs. Tryed a different printer on original PC with serial, no probs. Still none the wiser, any ideas? |
