564295 2007-06-29 09:07:00 Hi everyone, just set up a new Dell with the included TV card. I'm running the PC on my TV via a DVI/HDMI cable which also has Sky Digital connected via the usual SCART/RGB connection.

I basically would like to use the TV card to help record TV programmes from Sky onto my HDD.

Unfortunately I'm at a loss on how to get everything working together. Has anyone been able to get a similar setup working before?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated (especially if its in time for the Bledisloe test tomorrow night!)

Thanks everyone

564296 2007-06-29 09:14:00 Welcome to PF1 :)

Do you know what the TV tuner is?

I am running Sky Digital into my media PC and it works well I just use the RF out of the decoder to the RF in on the TV tuner, though you will get better quality with SCART to RCA if the TV Tuner has RCA in...

564297 2007-06-29 09:31:00 Thanks for the quick reply. Its a generic Dell card that you can order bundled with your desktop - not sure on specs unfortunately (sorry, I realise thats not helping here, but I'm still hunting around) but its called a Hybrid PAL/SECAM/DVB-T TV Tuner.

Connections at the back include an RF, S-video & yellow composite plug but no red & white audio plugs if thats what you mean?

Thanks again

564298 2007-06-29 10:25:00 Oh OK,

What software are you going to use to record? and do you know if it will let you use the Svideo/RCA inputs?

If you can take a picture of the back of it (the inputs) and put it here (www . imagef1 . net . nz) it might have a different input for audio (or you might need to use the line in on the PC for it if you were to use RCA/Svideo inputs and that can be a problem . . . )

I would personally just use the RF in
