| 564162 | 2007-06-29 00:20:00 | I have in the last week or so replaced my computer less keyboard, mouse, printer & monitor. The processor is an Intel dual core 2.0 GB. I am continuing to use WinXP. I have reloaded software, and loaded data by inserting the old HDD and transferring data (in separate partitions). I have tried to upgrate IE6 to IE from both the MS site, and from a PCWorld disk. The files both have the same name (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu). they appear to install OK, but when opening either version the machine freezes, and can only be freed by using task manager (processes). There is nothing showng in task manager (applications). It seems that I may have an incompatibility? Can anyone help? Brucem |

| 564166 | 2007-06-29 06:40:00 | what speedy means is that you should have done a clean install of windows, having done that (not that i did and i'm fine), i'd suggest you switch browser. ie7 is just a cheap ripoff of firefox, so unless there's a good reason to stick to ie, i would (and have) switch to firefox :2cents: |
