564942 2007-07-02 04:12:00 I have not been able to install Windows updates for ages, and it all leads back to the error code 0x80070005.

It has come up on many websites that this is related to MSXML, and I don't know anything about that. I have taken a screenshot of the MSXML files in C:\Windows in case you can see if something is wrong in there (should there be duplicate files such as msxml3(2).dll?)

Are the files u listed in C:\windows\system32?

Thats where they should be not C:\windows

Oh yes, sorry, I meant C:\windows\system32.

As for that Update Agent, I tried it, and it appeared to work, but I keep getting this screen no matter what:
