564872 2007-07-01 21:39:00 Is it up to date with updates, have u scanned for malware/spyware etc recently? Speedy Gonzales (78)
564873 2007-07-01 21:45:00 I have just installed new windows yesterday, so i dont think there are any spywares... It has been like this for months now.

Also i think the Drive is FAT32, and currently running WINDOWS XP HOME

564874 2007-07-01 22:24:00 Where are the vents located on the laptop? If there are at the bottom and you use the laptop on yr lap than you are blocking airflow hence the high temperature, check in your task bar what processes are running and whats using the most memory. ronyville (10611)
564875 2007-07-01 23:35:00 I reckon the few laptops I have owned have all run at too high a temperature.
My latest one a HP came with pathetic little feet that raised it probably a mm or so off the deck. As they also tended to fall off I bought some cheap rubber cupboard door stoppers (Mitre10) and stuck them on the bottom. Now it sits much higher and runs cooler.
Must mention my best bargain in laptops. Bought one off a neighbour - her lodger had gone back to China and didn't want it anymore. I paid $5 and it came with a superb laptop bag.
The snag was it came in Chinese and I don't speak one single word of the language. Took me 2 days playing with it to get it running in English. My granddaughter loves it.

Its not just one software, its anything and everything, depends on what i m using.

Say i use firefox forawhile, it would become the most highest taking CPU.

And then i play a game for aawhile and it would become the most high CPU taking...

Well i ordered a Notebook cooling pad, do you think it would make any diifference?

Also using SPEEDFAN(software), i got these temprature:

HD0: 42C
Temp1: 79C
Temp2: 68C

564877 2007-07-02 01:57:00 When my computer is at 100% CPU USAGE, I get the following temprature:

Temp1: 96C
Temp2: 76C
HD0 : 50C

Out of curiosity I installed Speedfan and got the following readouts which I'm a little confused about.
Fan1: Speed (appears to vary somewhat) but nominally around 2700rpm and temp 25c
Fan2: Speed (again it varies) but around 4440rpm and temp shown as 55c with a little red flame alongside.
HDO: shows a temp of 26c and below that it shows
Temp 1 as 54c, again with a little red flame alongside.
All fans are clean and free of dust and crap (inlets also) but just for peace of mind I did a little housekeeping and gave it a good blow and dusting. Same result as regards temperatures.
Do I really have a problem or is there something I have to tweak in the programme?
