565510 2007-07-04 00:06:00 I can't send emails with attachments. Well, I can, but if there is an attachment to an email the receiver does not get the attachment, they just get an email with screeds of mumbo jumbo text and weird symbols.

I got the PC looked at by a technician who said there was no virus. However now I have the PC back it's worse than before. The receiver now gets on average about 10 repeat emails every minute, and it's not stopping!!!!!

Anyone had this experience before? Heeelp!

565511 2007-07-04 02:42:00 OK. A few details please. What OS, service pack, what email client and version, what firewall? AV?

Also wouldn't hurt to find a post by Speedy Gonzales here and download and run HiJackThis from his signature (follow the instructions) and post the results back here

565512 2007-07-04 02:47:00 Sounds like the person receiving the email might have their firewall set to block jpgs as they can contain malicious scripts. winmacguy (3367)
565513 2007-07-04 03:10:00 Thanks for the feedback. It's a 1 year old HP/Compaq dx7200 PC with WinXP Pro, Service pack2, running Office2000. I use MS Outlook from the Office2000, don't think it's an upgrade at all. I use Zonelarm & AVG anitvirus, both free versions. tmckendry (6850)
565514 2007-07-04 03:29:00 Thanks guys, I just found the problem after looking into the Outlook settings. I often click "save messages on server" so I can check them from webmail when away from office. However I inadvertedly clicked the one above it "Break apart message when sending over 60kb" Voila! fixed! tmckendry (6850)
