565526 2007-07-03 23:23:00 I have been trying to use the Ubuntu 7.04 version from this months DVD. I have burnt ISOs on 3 CDs using different burners and different speeds but while the newly burnt ISO loads up the mouse is inactive. The mose works fine in Windows and Xandros but not in Ubuntu. Has anyone else had this problem?

565527 2007-07-04 00:48:00 Sounds like youre not the only one having this prob with the DVD (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz)

Looks like Ubuntu 7.04 was on a few mag DVD's. It was also on the APC mag as an ISO.

How big was the ISO?? Was it 697mb ?

565528 2007-07-04 03:24:00 Yes it was that size Speedy. No big deal but I like to try Linux OSs out. I want to try PCLinuxOS when I can get hold of one on a CD or DVD. Bit too big for dial-up to download.

565529 2007-07-04 03:28:00 Hmm if u were in Auckland, I could burn the ISO to cd for you.

And see if its any better.

565531 2007-07-04 05:59:00 What sort of mouse it is? PS/2 or USB? Try a mouse with a different connection to your current one and see how that goes. :) Jen (38)
565532 2007-07-04 22:55:00 Hello Jen,

Its a PS2 mouse. I will get hold of another mouse, USB and try, thanks.

565533 2007-07-05 03:48:00 Has anyone got this running in Virtual PC 2007, my graphics are scrambled!? SolMiester (139)
565534 2007-07-05 06:38:00 Although I don't use Ubuntu, I sometimes find the mouse not being detected. A reboot often works if this happens. (The symptom I get is a large square at the center of the screen, rather than the mouse arrow). Graham L (2)
