| 566511 | 2007-07-06 15:41:00 | Hi there to all. Ok lets just say that I have a 4 GB USB drive and that inside of it I have a program, lets say firefox portable for instance or any other. Question is: How do I create an autorun.inf file and what text would have to go in it so that everytime I insert the USB drive on my computer the program starts. I dont mean windows asking me if I want to run it, I want it to start by it self everytime I plug the pen drive on my PC, Thanks in advance! | JOYBEBA6679 (10686) | ||
| 566512 | 2007-07-06 19:11:00 | autorun . inf usually goes in the main / root of a cd . Not too sure if it'll work on a USB flash drive . I spose it depends on where the program is (and whether its in a folder), and where its main exe file is . This shows ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/Autorun" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) you an example of what an autorun . inf file looks like (its just a text file) . There's other links on the above Wikipedia page about it . I wouldnt bother, if u want a menu get a U3 flash disk . |
