| 566447 | 2007-07-06 08:40:00 | Can I make a WinXP disk so that it installs onto a formatted harddisk without having to install Win 98 first? | bpt2 (6653) | ||
| 566448 | 2007-07-06 09:04:00 | Just boot from the WinXP disc and go from there. | FoxyMX (5) | ||
| 566449 | 2007-07-06 09:06:00 | An XP CD is bootable, so all u have to do is change the bootdisk in the BIOS to the CD. Reboot, then it should go to the install screen. So it installs. You dont need the 98 cd or have to install 98 before u install XP. I take it u have the XP CD? |

You will be prompted to insert your Win 98 disc for validation of your upgrade eligibility during installation. In BIOS your boot order should be: 1. Floppy 2. CDROM 3. HDD |
