Frontpage is designed to work with 'Frontpage extensions' on the web hosts server. However frontpage extensions will eventually be phased out, as now microsoft has ceased supporting frontpage extensions. It is probably ok for using with FTP, but they you don't get to use all the frontpage features. |

| 566294 | 2007-07-06 06:07:00 | I use Frontpage 2003, Expression Web and Dreamweaver. Frontpage needs FP Extensions for some of its extra bots like the search facility. However, it can be used without the extensions. Expression Web is a major step forward from FP and is on a par with Dreamweaver IMO. However Frontpage has a couple of things going for it. 1. For anyone new to web design it's easier to learn than EW or DW. Very easy in fact. 2. If you wish to graduate to Expression Web, it's very cheap to upgrade from FP. |
