567883 2007-07-11 02:49:00 Well I'll see how it goes with AVG, because I don't use Avast (at least atm anyway) Surely you can config it to work with both?

Nope coz when u turn ZA's Av on, it brings up a message / warning saying theyre not compatible, (ZA's AV is Kaspersky), and will conflict.

Then it will freeze your system.

Till you remove / uninstall one of them

567884 2007-07-11 02:50:00 Well then you turn off ZA's AV. simple. We're only looking at getting this one because it's a LOT cheaper, and offers more.

Plus, Avast wasn't even on the original list I posted (unless it was 3rd or below)

Well yer I know that, since thats the only way for them NOT to conflict.

I'll rather use Avast anyway.

567886 2007-07-11 03:39:00 You got that right .

Even after I had given Mirc permission, I had to add 7 entries in Network Manager to get the thing to dcc lol .

One annoying habit Comodo has, is blocking the Windowsupdate site . I had to tick one or two of the options under Advanced, for Windowsupdate to work .

But something screwed up the other day .

Unticking one or both of these options, I still couldnt get the updates, to appear on the Windowsupdate site .

I dont know what happened with Comodo (I didnt change anything) .

So, in the end I uninstalled Comodo .

Which fixed the Windowsupdate site error (it kept on bringing up a misconfigured proxy/firewall error - Comodo was blocking it) .

And even if u allow some programs, Comodo will still block some ports .

So, I'll wait for V3 of Comodo, to come out, and see if its any better .

You ought to try configuring it to work with Telecom Connection Manager for Net-Remote VPN . . . The network Manager blocks every damn thing, I tried everything!? In the end I had to leave a hole in it for 1 ip address!!, instead of port opening!!

567887 2007-07-11 04:00:00 Wolfforest, if you really want to pay for something, pay for a decent A/V program not the firewall. ie nod32 and free sygate!

Remember your router has a firewall also.

567888 2007-07-11 04:02:00 But I can't get "worlds #1 _____" (referring to ZA, lol) for $21 for a year, can I? Lol --Wolf-- (128)
567889 2007-07-11 04:33:00 I'm iffy after reading that the programs I use (ZoneAlarm, ad-aware, spybot search and destory) are rated near last

So whos he? The world expert?
I find Spybot very good in real world testing of other peoples infected PCs.

And my version of ZA 4 seems to be still doing the trick.

567890 2007-07-11 04:58:00 Well I just got the full version of ZA Internet Suite until 2149. So far so good. The im feature is cool too, specially when the person your talking to has it too. Ive got the AV and AS turned off, as I dont think i need them (AVG and Spyware Terminator)

Also, I just scanned with Spyware Terminator and it found 3 critical objects that Spybot didn't find two days ago (one being a keylogger)

And ZA free...well.....get full, trust me :P

567892 2007-07-11 05:03:00 So did I ^

And it's still prolly good, but all I'm saying is this new one found things the other didn't.
