567651 2007-07-11 05:22:00 I'd be more than happy with any of those components :) The cheaper RAM is fine, and the PSU is up to you really.. the 535w will handle things well, but with the 8800gts i wouldn't wanna go any smaller. With the 600w you'll have a bit of headroom. Good choice of components. wratterus (105)

c1com.co.nz Sweet deal man. For a CL5.

or this one
www.tastech.co.nz looks better, but if you want a PSU for around $130 Silverstone got 500W around that price and very reliable too.

567654 2007-07-11 05:49:00 This (thermaltake.com) is my case - now thats overkill for you . Both those cases you gave links to are very nice, I have done a build with that exact gigabyte case and found it really nice to work with. Both gigabyte and Lian Li have great reputations for their cases.

You don't by any means need an expencive case to cool everything properly, the most basic full ATX case with a couple of 120mm fans will do that, i've seen many for under $80.

But with the components your getting, IMO it would be nice to have a decent case, I guess it's up to you and how much you want to spend in the end, but the Gigabyte there is a really nice case for the $$$. not too showy, but smart. also good with stopping dust getting inside. :)

This (www.einfo.co.nz) is quite nice too, if you want something a bit flash.

:annoyed: Get the facts right before posting.

567658 2007-07-11 06:50:00 pedalslammer - can you not read i said dont post in this thread im not intrested in your input what so ever! get a life. go and do something other than live on this forum. maybe learn some english for a start

wratterus - that case you recomended is quite nice.. does that door just open up to use disc drive etc? do you think cases with doors can be annoying?
GHOSTN (12510)
567659 2007-07-11 06:56:00 What I think of case is that it is generally personal taste. I myself have an all-clear acrylic case, so you can see everything inside the case. Added are few LED fans, and it does look cool at night. The drawback is the fact that dust is way more visible.

And as for doors on a case - maybe, because then you'd need to open/close the door when you want to insert CDs into your drives. But then again, I'm sure you can take the door off, although you will pay for the door.....
