| 567069 | 2007-07-10 09:48:00 | Be careful David ;) I hate to agree with PedalSlammer but recent driver updates really have the 2900XT pushing the 8800GTX. Currently the 8800GTS 320mb is the best value for money, but if ATi can drop there price some more and tweak their drivers it could be interesting. Do a Google for Crossfire benchmark they're looking really really good.:thumbs: Thank you Pete. I was gonna use web links to proof it again. Yes, I've been checking on 8800 GTS 640MB vs. X2900XT it seems that some games are optimized for X2900XT so it performs better but some games aren't so Nvidia 8800GTS got an advantage over it but not for long. An insane benchmarking here for X2900XT 1GB DDR4: www.pcmag.com :blush: Believe it or not I don't care, besides PC world might not have the right marks but we know there's secret behind the Falcon NorthWest. Besides we might wanna run into ATI's office and question the thing about it. |

| 567070 | 2007-07-10 10:09:00 | Of course I was looking forward to seeing what R600 was going to be last year, I was hoping that it would be amazing, heck I think I will look at more benchmarks tomorrow and see which is better and get the better of the two... Though I like the more RAM that the 8800 has but the 2900 has a larger bus... I will probably still go with the 8800 though... | The_End_Of_Reality (334) | ||

| 567072 | 2007-07-10 18:34:00 | As a matter of fact I am getting an XFX 8800GTS 640MB XXX at the end of the month :rolleyes: Go and fantasize over the ATI model some more :lol: When you get your 8800 see if you can find half decent drivers for it . :badpc: At least ATI have good drivers . |

What drivers do you have? there are new ones out (dated 1 June 2007) so that means once the drivers are decent that it will be even more powerful . . . How is your 8800 Jack? |

How is your 8800 Jack? Am using the June 07 driver at present . Still not 100% . My card is not as good as I hoped , but not too bad . I should have got the GTX . $1600 put me off though . |

| 567076 | 2007-07-11 02:20:00 | Its not an ATI vs Nvidia test. Its a PC as a whole test with ATI card.It did prove the ATI 1GB DDR4 is more hell of a power than the GTX. :eek: Did you see that price? $Almost $8000USD? :horrified I don't think I can ever afford a PC like that price, and yes it is a very powerful PC, more than enough for most PC users. For some reason X2900XT bus ring is pretty big, but 512MB GDDR 3, good deal after all, free games come with that video card, anyway I don't have much shooting games so I this card is a very good deal. At first I like 8800GTS 640MB a lot and not very impress with X2900XT when it first come out, but time changed, now I like X2900XT for even the noisiest card in the world. |

| 567077 | 2007-07-11 04:46:00 | So which card should i get 8000gt or ati's X1950 pro? | chuanwai (12518) | ||
| 567078 | 2007-07-11 05:29:00 | So which card should i get 8000gt or ati's X1950 pro?8500GT? 8800 series are DX10, which means future proof, definitely ATI is better, but if you wanna play DX10 game 8800 series is a good deal. ATI is DX9 but you can get X2600/X2400 series for DX10 cards. Nvidia is a better deal for low end cards. | PedalSlammer (8511) | ||
