using limewire or any P2P program is NOT illegal. There is perfectly legitimate material to be found there, so unless it is specified that the material is copyrighted we can only presume that it isn't.:D

566942 2007-07-09 23:19:00 I think you can safely say that if the content is not available from the originators web side for download in NZ that it is there fore illegal under NZ's current laws and while there is a substantial amount of legal subscription and pay per view video content available from US based sites none of it is currently available in NZ yet....

The reason that pirating music is such a big deal with the RIAA is that it is much easier to download/"share" a 3MB music file (and CDs cost too much) than it is to download a 750MB video file (we also don't watch the same video over and over like we listen to the same songs over and over).
Video piracy happens but not to the same extent as music.

OK.
It would depend on who the creator was and why it was put on a P2P site in the first place which is why YouTube/Google has been at issue with certain US TV networks over a lot of the clips that users put onto YouTube without the prior approval of the networks.

This is a free and simple programme for converting .avi files to the DVD format Video ts and Audio ts.
I have used it many times for putting home movies onto DVD.
Works every time :)
