567873 2007-07-11 02:07:00 Well I've personally had no user issues with ZA, and as everyone has said, Comodo can be a pain in the ass. Guess I'll wait for other opinions maybe.

EDIT:

Or I can get the whole Internet Security Suite for $64 NZD (3pc, 1yr) and you can turn antivirus, spyware etc off.

567874 2007-07-11 02:10:00 Didnt say there were any issues with ZA. BUT if u want to pay for it, go for it. Speedy Gonzales (78)
567875 2007-07-11 02:15:00 But can we face it that a paid version of something NORMALLY is always better than a free version.

Turns out my bro will pay 2/3 of it if we go ahead and he'll use 2 out of the 3 cdkeys for it. If I can get the Suite for $21 (which I can, limited time only tho) then tell me that's not a bargain.

No. Comodo maybe free, it doesnt mean its worse (or it does less), than something you pay for.

This maybe true for AV programs.

Depending on what the AV program is I suppose, and how often it gets updated. And what options are in it.

You're just going by what people have said .

You've never tried it yourself . So, you dont know .

With most firewalls they're a PITA in the ass to configure .

It doesnt matter what firewall you install . .

567879 2007-07-11 02:34:00 Well have a read, I posted the link. I'm downloading the trial version now.

I tried ZA Security Suite (The install file is still on the hdd).

It conflicts with Avast, if I enable the virus option. Which is why I uninstalled it.

567880 2007-07-11 02:35:00 Well then if the anti virus in the Suite is good, then why have Avast as well? --Wolf-- (128)
567881 2007-07-11 02:40:00 Well then if the anti virus in the Suite is good, then why have Avast as well?

Avast is better than ZA's one thats why.

567882 2007-07-11 02:43:00 Well I'll see how it goes with AVG, because I don't use Avast (at least atm anyway) Surely you can config it to work with both?

Also, are you going to back up your Avast comment with some proof?
