2007-07-09 05:56:00 | I own both, and I say the Xbox360 wins with ease. I fell victim to the Sony Hype machine. The PS3's Blu Ray player is great, but there are so many movies I can't get on it that I ended up getting the HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox360 aswell. My reasons for thinking the 360 beats PS3 are far too numerous to mention here, but i'll list a couple. The menu system is very subpar on the PS3 and allows no customisation. There are no 'gamerpoints' on PS3. The online gaming model on the X360 is far superior. Plus many many more reasons. The Wii is making amazing sales the world over. But I doubt it's really that great. I think it would have a huge novelty value that wouldn't really last much longer than a month or two.

Only time will tell, but I guess it depends on what Nintendo's follow up will be for example how many of the new Wii gaming market like it enough to make another purchase of the next release. Edit: I guess the race is theirs to loose. |

2007-07-09 10:36:00 | I heard about a guy recently who was on his 12th xbox 360. MS are taking a 1 billion hit on the warranties. | mikebartnz (21) | |
2007-07-09 10:53:00 | I heard about a guy recently who was on his 12th xbox 360. MS are taking a 1 billion hit on the warranties. They most certainly are. "Microsoft said it will record a charge of up to $US1.15 billion for its fourth fiscal quarter, which ended June 30, to cover the additional costs associated with the warranty extension. The software maker also said sales of the console fell short of expectations for the fiscal year that just ended. Matt Rosoff, an analyst at the independent research group Directions on Microsoft, estimates that Microsoft's entertainment and devices division has lost more than $US6 billion since 2002. www.smh.com.au

2007-07-09 12:09:00 | i say ps3 beats xbox on paper, and considering the blu ray drive it's a bargain too, but sony launched too late and game developers still need to learn how to use the most of the cell processor. for that reason i say PC, you can upgrade, play and do many more things, and get a usb converter for a ps2 controller and there's no real reason to turn back. imho consoles are only good for racing and some rpg, pc is the king of fps and rts plus has mmorpg and with a controller adapter gives better racing and rpg anyway. didn't the ps2 have a slow release too?
