567680 2007-07-10 11:33:00 I have completed a clean install of xp pro and now realise I have not partitioned the drive to the size's I require. Is there any way I can resize the two of them using windows without having to re-formatt and start again?? I have a 160gb which has ended up at 125 & 35, I'm wanting to split in half @ 80 each, Cheers Grant Espresso_Addict (8458)
567681 2007-07-10 11:56:00 Partition Magic might be able to do that for you, but I am not too sure about it. Google partition magic and see if it allows you to do so. ronyville (10611)

Partition Magic is supposed to do that, but I have seen posts here where a partition was wiped:groan: in the process.

As I have just learned for the umpteenth time. Never Make such Changes Without Doing A Backup FIRST!

567684 2007-07-14 05:16:00 I use Partition Magic 8.0, and I haven't had problems, obviously a full back up is a very good idea. Brucem (8688)
567685 2007-07-14 10:13:00 Get yourself a copy of the CD bootable Linux distribution called Knoppix. It has on it a free equivalent of Partition Magic called QTParted. I have yet to have a disaster with this when resizing partitions. johnd (85)
