567100 2007-07-09 00:51:00 Hey.
I have an Asus m5n laptop.
i didn't use it for about 2 weeks, (purchased a mac!) anyway, i decided i'd sell it, so switched it on and found that the keyboard and touchpad wouldn't work.
i thought oweel i'll just do a format and clean install (as i want to sell it) and that should fix it.
weird thing is, the KB works fine in the BIOS and installation/partitioning setup, but as soon as XP loads theres nothing, so i'm using a usb mouse and KB.

ANd its teh same for the touch pad...

any ideas?
im guessing its a software or driver setting somewhere??

Cheers

567104 2007-07-09 03:57:00 After installing the latest appropriate drivers, and if they still don't work, take it back to ASUS.

Remember, ASUS carries a 2 years International warranty.

567106 2007-07-11 00:07:00 Does your lappie have a touchpad lock? That is a combination of two buttons to lock the touchpad?

I'm not sure if it matters when your restart but that is another possibility.

567107 2007-07-11 00:26:00 yea it does, but everytime i push it all that comes up in 'touchpad disabled' and can't get it to say enabled! Fergie (6508)
