1416702 2016-02-29 09:04:00 Hey I recently tried to upgrade to Windows 10 via the windows 10 update but after sometime time a message box pops up Modern Setup Host has stopped working .
I have tried to update it using Media Creation Tool and i get the same issue. Now i have tried scanning and fixing corrupt files and the scan didn't find any corrupt files . Also i have run virus scan using malwarebytes and avast where both did find malware and it did remove it .

So i have attached on here for what the error comes up as , please see and if any help i can get that would be good .

Thanks

1416703 2016-02-29 09:35:00 If you have Avast or any other Security installed, uninstall it - Avast and AVG are two of the main AV's that cause problems with W10. This may or may not be the cause, but it certainly wont be doing you any favors.

If Malware has damaged the original System then sometimes it cant be fixed apart from a complete reinstall from Fresh.

1416704 2016-03-01 00:05:00 The Media Creation method allows you to select whether you want to install the any other updates at the same time (recommended) or later when upgrading
Windows Update will automatically install the updates (no option as I understand)

I downloaded the Media Creation Tool and then used the "Create installation media for another PC." option to burn onto a DVD.
I had tried the USB option a number of time before and had some problems (but I may have found the reason why they failed later)
I then used the DVD to do the upgrade but used the but used the "not Right Now option" to not install any updates during the upgrade.

I also had problems with the HP HP SupportFrameworkService program which caused the updates to fail.
I had uninstalled the HP Support Solution and HP SupportFrameworkService but the latter still appeared in my Process and Services tabs of the Task Manager.
I did an End Task for the program in the Process Tab and then disabled it through the Services Tab
I was also then able to delete the program found under c:\ Program Files (x86) \ Hewlett Packard
