1416304 2016-02-20 21:53:00 Hey all! Over the past few months, when I shut my lid on my Toshiba laptop on battery I get a BSOD. If the power adapter is plugged in it's fine, only when running on the battery it does this. Any ideas? Can't seem to find a specific programme doing it. I see a few people having the same issue relate it to Norton, but I've never had Norton in this device and I can't find any trace of it.

TIA
Damien

1416309 2016-02-21 00:24:00 It looks like you're using two AV programs. NOD and Kingsoft AV? You should only have one AV program

This file kavbootc64.sys (I think) belongs to Kingsoft is 6 yrs old. Uninstall it. Old drivers can and will crash windows

It's possible NOD is also crashing the system

I would also update your LAN drivers. This file L1C63x64.sys is 3 yrs old

That's news to me! It's a clean install of the OS less than 6 months ago. I use ESET Smart Security and that's all that's installed on here AV wise? However when I check my processes under task manager, it's showing 100% disk usage by a Windows Defender file? Odd...

What's the best way to update the LAN drivers? Haven't done that for a while :)

1416311 2016-02-21 00:47:00 Go to the Toshiba site see if there's a more recent LAN driver

This defender file what is it called in task manager. It doesnt appear to be running here. I've never seen it running at 100% disk usage either

Right mouse it / open file location. Where is it?

If Kingsoft isnt installed did you install 360 ? It's a chinese AV program (I think)

Antimalware Service Executable > Windows Defender Service. Found at C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MsMpEng.exe

I have 360 on my main computer, but not my laptop. I used to before the clean install though, but there shouldn't be traces of it? I'm pretty sure I formatted the drive? I've had ESET on it for a while now though.
