| 1411118 | 2015-11-09 07:14:00 | The comments on the link all say the same thing. Someone's about to be in big trouble I think. Who's the bigger Idiot, whoever first called it a sink hole or those that keep parroting it in news stories? (obviously still more intelligent than whoever built a carpark over a weak metal drain pipe). Notice how there's a nice square edge back towards the road, presumably whoever built the road did it properly and used a reinforced concrete culvert or something else capable of taking the weight and that's where it ends. I've been watching a supermarket get built near work, when they did the drainage for the site they put so much concrete over it you could drop a tank on it safely. |

| 1411119 | 2015-11-09 18:38:00 | Wiki: A sinkhole, also known as a cenote, sink, sink-hole, shakehole, swallet, swallow hole, or doline (the different terms for sinkholes are often used interchangeably), is a depression or hole in the ground caused by some form of collapse of the surface layer. |
