Its not as if Whitey has taken care of fresh water supplies , at all. | 1411009 | 2015-11-06 08:11:00 | The larger conundrum is whether all water belongs to the Crown - and thus the people. Or instead water belongs to those who find it or alternatively own it already. We have a unusual situation in NZ whereby Maori may indeed have legitimate clams to ownership of streams and rivers. Fine. That leaves underground water. In many parts of the world owning bores is a private right. And it is in NZ but there is a strong public argument that water belongs to the Crown, not private property owners. At the moment this isn't argued but it is a decision which we are going to have to deal with. |

They were written by people much closer to the action than myself. Secondly, if you are denying that Key is setting up a Racist/Separatist Country then you might care to explain the following? Why did Key reopen the Maori claims to the Seabed and Foreshore issue when the previous government had settled it? Why did Key then give them ownership which lead to iwi charging to run events like the Taupo Ironman and closing beaches? Why did Key instruct that the Maori flag must be flown from Government buildings alongside the New Zealand flag? Why did Key allow the Police not to issue tickets for some crimes to Maori offenders? Why did Key allow the Waitangi Tribunal to hear a claim for the Water Ownership in 2012 when the law said no further claims could be laid after 2008? Why has Key & Co. given iwi hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of cash and property in the name of “Treaty Settlements”? Why are Maori allowed to rape and plunder our fisheries when non-Maori have strict limits? My point is that we should be striving for One Country, and One Law regardless of Colour Class or Creed. So you see it is Key’s racist policies and beliefs that make him dangerous. |
