| 1410857 | 2015-11-03 00:12:00 | ◾128GB / Core i5 / 4GB RAM $1799 The above is the lower end price, my question is there a better deal with other tablets.? |

As for windows tablets, there doesn't seem to be many options comparable to the surface to compare it too, most are at the cheaper end of the scale. For myself it's just too expensive for the convenience of being portable. I'd either stick to a decent desktop or laptop at that price. Don't forget peripherals you'd probably want like a keyboard cover and a dock tend to be $200+ for official surface accessories. I remain unconvinced by expensive tablets vs laptops. |

I guess she would so her usual youtube and some kiddie online games with it.... Don't need a discussion on whether or not she should have one at all, apparently dad has decided she can. |

I really like my Samsung Tab 2 7", the display is just beautiful and readable in bright light (unlike some generics). The TAB2's are quite cheap on trademe, perhaps allow for a new batt in the budget ? If i was to buy again, I would definitely go for a 10" though And as per usual with samsung, the Android version cant be upgraded to latest version, not that it matters for most people though. Downside is that it uses non standard USB/charge plug on the device . |

| 1410863 | 2015-11-03 03:13:00 | Something Cheap... HP slate 7 maybe, they are < $300 new and still a name brand. Dual core arm processor, at least 1-2Gb RAM, and android 4.xx onwards are what I'd be looking for. Back on topic, the Lenovo yoga range seems to be one of the few decent competitors to the surface pro, might be worth a look. |

They would have to enter the 20th century of course, to consider the penalty. |

I read also that it doesn't upgrade to Win 10? |
