2015-10-26 05:21:00 | Do you have to work hard at being an idiot all the time? I don't follow your thinking. How can I be an idiot when Rossi deliberately takes out the opposition?

(not a good angle) Have a look at this one - Esp at around the 2.10 minute mark, Rossi passes on the inside, and Marquez leans into him almost as if he wasn't expecting him there, They touched - looks like he lost his balance and arsed off. www.youtube.com It can be taken which ever way anyone likes. |

2015-10-26 20:04:00 | Do you have to work hard at being an idiot all the time? I never thought I'd say this but Zippity has every right to post what he has... I don't know about "down the drain" but definitely disappointing. If Rossi didn't do anything wrong FIM/Race Direction wouldn't have penalised him 3 points championship points. I still hope Rossi takes the championship to bring up his 10th! Afterall he is the GOAT!

2015-10-26 20:22:00 | "Rossi: No chance of 2015 MotoGP title after Marquez clash penalty Valentino Rossi believes he has "no chance" of winning the MotoGP championship now he will start the title-deciding final round at Valencia from the back of the grid. The Yamaha rider was given three penalty points on his licence for causing a collision with Marc Marquez during Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix, taking his total up to four and earning him the grid penalty. Rossi leads team-mate Jorge Lorenzo by seven points in the title race, but he believes Marquez - who he accused ahead of the weekend of trying to ruin his chances - has decided the championship in his fellow Spaniard's favour. "The sanction is almost definitive: to start last in Valencia equals not having any chance of making it," Rossi told the Italian media at Sepang. "This way the championship is distorted. I gave everything to win this title. "Losing it on track is one thing, this way hurts a lot more. "Should it help, Marquez would let Lorenzo through on the last lap [at Valencia]." Rossi also hinted he may not race at Valencia on November 8, saying "we need to see if I will go," although this was played down by his team boss Lin Jarvis. The Italian also conceded it might have been a mistake to "unmask" Marquez with his comments ahead of the weekend, but he feels the Spaniard's issue with him goes back further than that. "He would have done the same even if I had not spoken," Rossi added. "Maybe it was a mistake [to speak out], but I couldn't keep quiet. "When someone wants to screw you, you have to say so. "Marquez holds a grudge against me because he is convinced I made him crash on purpose in Argentina and, most of all, for what happened [on the final lap] in the Netherlands."

2015-10-26 22:49:00 | Do you have to work hard at being an idiot all the time? Always wise to wait until the full picture is known......... Fools rush in JH, it might have been better to wait until the dust had settled and the culprit identified, or a 'racing incident' declared. Richie McCaw was sin-binned, (which could have cost the AB's the game) but those who had to decide the outcome found that no offence was committed. Best to breath through your nose until your temperature drops back to normal before making pronouncements of guilt or innocence. Cheers Billy 8-{)

2015-10-26 23:27:00 | Appreciate your comments Billy, as always, but look at the subject of the thread, composed by the original idiot. "Rossi's credibility goes down the drain". What puffery, what poppycock. First, there is no-one on this forum who has the credibility to challenge Rossi on anything regarding motor cycle racing, let alone his credibility - his record speaks volumes, and there is no-one here who can legitimately cast doubt on that unless they want to appear a fool. Secondly, Rossi's credibility will not be dented by this "incident" - his title chase yes, but not his credibility, let alone seeing that credibility go down the drain. Personally, even before I saw the second video posted by Wainuitech, I thought it was a racing incident rather than a deliberate attempt to "off" the other rider - I still think that Marquez was more at fault than Rossi. Riders are always banging fairings and elbows, and this seems little more than that. I humbly disagree with the penalty, but who cares about my opinion? My reaction to the OP was not to do with the rights and wrongs of the incident itself - as Wainuitech says, "It can be taken which ever way anyone likes". My reaction was to the stupid thread title - it smacks of all those Richie McCaw haters who come out of the woodwork from time to time. Indeed some of the media headlines about McCaw's trip used much the same language, as though a sporting great can lose their credibility over an incident like both of these. I think that armchair critics who have no credibility at all would do better to keep their cheap shots to themselves. They only diminish themselves by opening their mouths and confirming other people's opinions of them. I guess I was curious about whether the OP has to work hard to be stupid or whether it just comes easily to him?
