1416809 2016-03-08 14:02:00 I would also remove and re-install the printer driver completely. I had the same issue with my Brother Printer. Did a reset and they suddenly kicked back in dpDesignz (15919)
1416810 2016-03-09 04:46:00 Update, problem has been sorted, maybe still had some remnants from un-installing AVG. Now using Eset Nod32, that was recommended by service people. There was also a print job showing as waiting to be printed, he was not sure. Anyway, all is good now. Thank you to all who took the time to comment.

1416811 2016-03-09 04:57:00 AVG when uninstalling, even using their own unistaller doesn't get rid of it all. When AVG corrupts it often breaks other items.

Was doing a job last week, AVG had the above, finally got it all out by using a bootable CD I have from Microsoft program , that really searches deep -- Found 5 hidden folders all containing AGV left overs the uninstaller / removal tool had missed.

Good you got it fixed, and now have a good AV as well :)

1416812 2016-03-10 21:08:00 AVG, Trend, Symantec .
They all cause so many issues, slowdowns, blocking internet , blocking network traffic (shares, printers etc) , just not doing its main function anyway (blocking malware)
It must be all the addon crapware they load into the AV (security suites), turning it into a bloated mess

Issue is the owner often simply does not want them removed (it turns into an argument ), & will sometimes just re-install them later.
If you paid for those, thats not a good reason to keep using it, just write those $ off .

Some IT companies have a policy of selling ONLY one brand of AV, and will not budge no matter how bad it proves to be . Been there, company policy was to sell AV that had only a 60-70% detection rate , so had to secretly load another brands AV .

1416813 2016-03-11 06:59:00 I had a similar problem today trying to printout downloaded BNZ statements. These were downloaded as PDFs to Microsoft Edge but could not be printed out using my laser printer.

I eventually solved the problem by going into Settings and changing the default application for PDF to Nitro Reader which is the PDF program that I use. Problem solved.

I use ESET as an anti virus program.

I use ESET as an anti virus program . That's one of the first things I do on new installs, install Nitro, then change the default reader from Edge to Nitro -- Never had a problem . Edge doesn't handle printing some PDF's very well .
