The Cooler master CM100 series itx cases are fairly cheap and the older one could take a full size 5.25" drive and a full size PSU and even a full length dual slot video card and 3 hard drives. They've changed things around in the newer model though, the old one had poor airflow for gaming PC's but the new one has less drive mounting options. Next step up would be the silverstone Sugo series, still small and capable of a lot of hardware but also with better airflow and a higher price. All these small cube style itx cases take more effort to work in though. If you use a SFF PSU and onboard graphics or one of the short cards designed for itx enclosures you can build a really powerfully and tidy machine that's not actually too bad to work in. Silverstone make good quality SFF PSU's that come with an ATX adapter bracket. pp.co.nz sell them. I also love the Bitfenix prodigy, it's an itx case but is actually about as big as mATX really. It's shorter and fatter, has removable drive cages for up to 5 drives, lets you use full size hardware, has great airflow, and can even fit large water coolers. Cable management can be a challenge though. I rather like itx in case you missed that :) Here's a few of my favourite parts - links to paradigm because I like them and they have almost everything, but they may not be the cheapest supplier around if you want the best deal possible. www.pp.co.nz www.pp.co.nz www.pp.co.nz www.pp.co.nz www.pp.co.nz www.pp.co.nz www.mightyape.co.nz seems the prodigy is hard to get here at the moment |
