Everyone knew exactly what JK was alluding to . Some are just trying to score political points off it. "rapists and murderers" being more of a colloquialism for the hardened crims many of them are, rather than exactly what they were convicted of. Just as the NZ public say stuff like, why arent the police out catching 'rapists and murderers' rather than blah etc. Its a bit of slang describing hardened crims in general. Perhaps JK should have said 'wife beaters , kiddy bashers, armed robbers, thugs' . That is accurate . |
