I have been looking at WiFi repeaters and want to know if I should get one with only 2.4 g or with 2.4 and 5g. Is there any advantage in having 5g? The signal has to go about 10 metres diagonally from the modem to the tv downstairs. |

| 1481230 | 2021-10-11 02:25:00 | Personally unless you can run a cable you can use a power line adaptor, simply plug into the Power Socket, one end into the Router the other into the power socket where the TV is. Then run a short cable from Adapter to TV, the internet runs via your power in the house. Something like a TP-Link TL-PA4010PKIT. Just put one of these into a place last week www.tp-link.com The Sleepout was at the other end of the Garden, had power supplied from Fuse board in the house, worked fine. Can use either Wireless or Ethernet. Note: you can get them either with or without wireless. The problem is they are very popular and supply is short or on back orders. The one I used was ordered a month ago from suppliers, all stock was sold even before arriving. |
