1481519 2021-10-26 19:16:00 LOL, latest Mint requirements are:

2GB RAM (4GB recommended for a comfortable usage).
20GB of disk space (100GB recommended).
1024×768 resolution (on lower resolutions, press ALT to drag windows with the mouse if they don’t fit in the screen).

I have a friend with some very very old versions and brands of Unix, never mind Linux. He has some very very old hardware to run them too.
As in scsii, CDs that connect to sound cards and even older stuff.

he has lost a few, due to the unavailability of replacement parts....

One of the joys of Linux is you don't need much in the way of power at all. And never mind panicking about help, I have yet to become lost with any issue, there is plenty of help around, mostly though you can find detailed step by step instructions for your fix for pretty much anything.

Disagree with that totally --- been a few times when asking for help with Certain versions of Linux, the ONLY consistent answer was to reinstall, as no one had a clue as to what to offer in the way of Suggestions, apart from the stupid answers " That shouldn't happen" wainuitech (129)

It's not your department.

1481523 2021-10-27 01:33:00 It's not your department. What do you mean by that ??

I noticed when I was asking for help you seemed to disappear like others have. Guess it was WAY beyond your knowledge as well ?
