2021-10-05 18:26:00 | Are you quite certain that the phone is actually connecting to a WIFI network rather than only via the mobile one? | CliveM (6007) | |
2021-10-05 19:42:00 | I have a A30 and I don't use mobile data but still get notifications. Maybe an induced fault. They are always the hardest to find.

2021-10-06 03:14:00 | The phone is on our wifi for sure as at home I don't have data on. I have contacted Samsung just waiting to see if they have any ideas. I'm not sure about doing a full factory reset. | bruciebear (1478) | |
2021-10-11 02:04:00 | Out of interest, the guy at Samsung was very good but could not solve it. This leaves a full factory reset to think about doing. Cheers. | bruciebear (1478) | |
2021-10-11 02:46:00 | I just checked my wife's A50 and there is a setting that can disable apps over wifi Settings / Connections / Data Usage / Mobile Data only Apps. If this is on then you will only get notifications when connected to Mobile Data This is especially when you turn Mobile Data off while using Wifi You can also select individual apps by going into Mobile Data Only Apps. My A52 works the same way though I have Mobile Data Only Apps turned off
