2022-01-18 00:26:00 | news.cgtn.com "– China will stay committed to promoting ecological conservation. As I have said many times, we should never grow the economy at the cost of resource depletion and environmental degradation, which is like draining a pond to get fish; nor should we sacrifice growth to protect the environment, which is like climbing a tree to catch fish."

2022-01-18 02:15:00 | Oh no, up until now the Chinese have been a scourge on the land and sea, they are even fishing around the Galapagos Islands, their population numbers have been completely out of control, after all even they recognised that and introduced one child policy. They have huge pollution problems and only recently started taking steps to obviate this. Western nations haven't had a good record either, but we have had some awareness of the problems even if the corporations haven't co-operated with conservation efforts.

2022-01-18 20:33:00 | So China's govt comes out with a bunch of BS NZ US Uk Au goverments never do the same . :) Arnt we 100% clean green & dont pollute & dont ignore the carbon issue , and dont rape & pillage the sea , and havnt destroyed rivers with farm run off & industrial waste , and dont send 'recycling' to the dump (Ak) as we cant deal with it , and dont send our waste to 3rd world countries . Ch is leading the world with EV car's . Unfortunately offset that as they are still building coal power stations to power all their growth . Talk is cheap when you dont back it up with actions

2022-01-19 00:27:00 | Xi has jailed .lots of political opponents and essentially has appointed himself Premier for Life. He (and his cronies) have breached the agreement with UK on Hong Kong Takeover . it was supposed to be 2 laws until 2047. Freedom of expression has been hugely curtailed in Hong Kong. China also keeps harping on about Taiwan (and Xi has strongly hinted at taking it by force). China has no valid claim on Taiwan as they sold it to Japan in 1895 under the Treaty of Shimonoseki. Mind you there have been rumours that Xi has not left China in 2 years because he fears a coup because of adverse economic consequences of his belt and rods policies. Maybe that is why pressure on Taiwan has stepped up - suggest war to divert public to Nationalist fervour -remember Galtieri in 1982 and The Falklands.

2022-01-19 00:47:00 | Freedom of expression is possibly Earths largest problem right now. Too many entitled people around, rather than the look at yourself and claim responsibility for your stuffups. I'm not saying everyone is like that, but the type that are seem to be getting more and more vocal | the_bogan (9949) | |
