1480912 2021-09-28 21:45:00 Hi,

I have a problem for updating Windows 10 as shown by attachment.

I have done troubleshooting but didn't help.

Did someone have experience like this? How to solve this issue?

Regards,

1480913 2021-09-28 21:53:00 Go to Start and search for Services then open it

Scroll down to the Windows update service and see if it's running; if it's set to disabled then right click it, go properties > and change start up type to manual, then reboot.

1480914 2021-09-28 23:05:00 run winver . what build version of 10 do you have. If its a really old build ver, that may be the issue ?
or

could be a temp error. Try again tommorow

Restart the PC. Connect to internet via cables not wifi . make sure internet speed is good https://www.speedtest.net/

as a last resort
disable update service , delete C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution , restart update service .
Or just reset Win10 .

1480915 2021-09-28 23:08:00 also, go into update history . Look for failed updates . See when last update happened
It MIGHT be a only single update thats failing , might be trying to download an expired or buggy update

Hi Baabits,

I followed your suggestions and it remains unchanged.

I also did troubleshooting as shown by figure 2 (attached).

Thanks

Hi 1101,

1. My Windows 10 version, see figure 3 (attached)

2. My speed test, see figure 4 (attached)

3. There is nothing in my update history, see figure 5 (attached)

Thanks

1480918 2021-09-29 20:41:00 Try running the following commands from CMD/Administrator sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

If that still fails it may be a better option to simply go to the Microsoft www.microsoft.com And upgrade to the latest version, 2004 is getting a bit old.

Hi Wainuitech,

I have upgraded to latest version, see attachment figure 6, but the result is unchanged.

1480920 2021-09-30 02:41:00 your update history was empty, so things are quite screwed up

either
reset Win10 (backup data first) . Its similar to a clean re-install

or delete the softwaredist..... folder

1480921 2021-09-30 07:13:00 Not quite sure what you are saying rimutaka because figure 6 you posted is the latest version of Win 10.
