568907 2007-07-13 22:36:00 I've seen similar errors with Windows Updates.

Go to Control Panel -> System -> Automatic Updates and Turn OFF automatic updates.

Restart your PC, ignore the security centre warning about updates being turned off.

Manually go to Windows Update website and apply all critical updates (Press Express).

Restart your PC and re-enable Automatic Updates.

Has fixed that problem for me a few times.

568909 2007-07-14 03:28:00 What update/s did u install?

That made IE 6 crash?

Are you using any plugin/s for IE??

What did u use to scan for spyware / malware?

568910 2007-07-14 03:38:00 Download an image file to make a bootable CD or floppy from the memtest86 (www.memtest.org) site. Run it. Graham L (2)
568911 2007-07-14 14:45:00 i ran adware spybot and norton virusscan. the memory was checked and it started after the updates from 7/10 not sure what they were. and they were security update for microsoft.net framwork version 1.0 service pack KB930494 Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB928366)
Security Update for Windows Media Player 6.4 (KB925398) it only seems to happen when i close down from myspace. i did search google and yahoo and there is a mention of it happening to others since about 7/4 so i might be something with microsoft like when they did an update and people started getting error message about sound driver trying to access memory that was already allocated.

568912 2007-07-15 04:33:00 There's a difference between a memory "check" and a memory "test". Do a test. ;) Graham L (2)
