I have found that a decent defrag program used regularly will keep my computer running at top speed. Particularly if you run programs that strew files all over the place.
I am using O & O Professional and do a full defrag at least once a day. I reckon this is probably the best "speed up" program I have ever bought.

Agreed.
But beware of all those do a free check, find hundreds of critical errors, and then want a ridiculous price to fix them.

I use a "paid for" edition of Registry Mechanic and find it excellant value.

568483 2007-07-12 21:12:00 You dont need a registry cleaner unless you spend you days installing and un-installing trial/demo or other crap freeware of the type that cleans your pc etc etc etc....... SolMiester (139)

568485 2007-07-12 21:35:00 Anyone game to start a poll on how often PF1ers defrag? Jack must be at the top of the list doing a defrag at least once a day! I would think most defrag only once a month, if that. Rutherford (10399)

Are u using V10 of O&O JJJJJ?

Its up to v10 build 1634 now .

I use this too .

I usually select offline defrag . So, it defrags all hdd's, when I reboot .

Only once tho, not every day, or everytime I reboot .

568489 2007-07-12 22:15:00 Mine gets defragged every day, but I don't know it's happening as I use Diskeeper Professional, which does it's job in the background. Best defragger I ever bought, and I have tried many. :) intel hunter (6666)
