| 568072 | 2007-07-11 08:42:00 | It dials up without giving an error number. So you would think that rules out the modem or driver. No web pages, no email. It fails pings too. There is noise on the line but then there has always been noise on the line. Any ideas? I hate dial up down here, I get this all the time. |

| 568076 | 2007-07-11 09:49:00 | Could it be that issue when the connection gets lost after removing malware? I'm sure you know about this but maybe overlooked it? www.tacktech.com That's the link someone here posted ages ago. I've never used it but stuck it in bookmarks coz it seemed like a good idea. :2cents: |

Yeah I did forget about that. Could be..............it has had malware removal. As for DNS settings I don't really believe that. I know it gets said a lot but I've never yet fixed a dialup or broadband problem by adding them in. |
