| 569307 | 2007-07-15 11:30:00 | I'd like to get a remote for my lounge PC (a wireless keyboard is just too big) but most the remotes are media centre remotes. Will they only work with media centre, or can they be made to work with normal windows XP? | Greven (91) | ||

Just the basic commands - play, stop, pause, next, last, volume up/down. I would like to be able to use it in winamp, but I can use media player for everything if need be. |

You can get a remote for iTunes at The Warehouse or any Apple store which can do a lot of what your asking if your just wanting it for playing music remotely. They are pretty reasonably priced and very simple to operate. |

Both the software UI and the hardware device are very smooth and straightforward which is something that Microsoft is gradually coming to understand as is evidence with its new Windows Home Server set up which I believe Solmeister has been testing. If they make the remote as easy as the software, they could be on to a winner. (assuming it uses a remote) |
