569247 2007-07-15 10:19:00 Welcome to PushF1.

Random restarts can be caused by a number of things - perhaps the most likely being:
1. Overheating CPU - are you able to check the operating temperature?
2. Faulty power supply unit.
3. Faulty RAM.

Do you have two sticks of RAM? If so you can try one at a time to see if one of the sticks are faulty. If you remove a stick, make sure that you follow anti-static procedures or you might add more problems. If in doubt, get somebody to help you.

569248 2007-07-15 10:21:00 Firstly - download HijackThis (www.trendsecure.com) and then do a system scan and paste the complete log that it generates back in this thread.

569249 2007-07-15 12:14:00 Right click on My Computer and click on Properties, click on the Advanced tab and click Settings under Startup and Recovery and uncheck the box that says Automatically Restart.
You will need to download and run antivirus and spyware programs to give your pc a good clean. Make sure you update the programs first before running them.

If having problems downloading you would probably be best to download hijack this on another machine and then transfer it on cd or floppy if you have one.

569253 2007-07-16 03:37:00 Sounds like you definitely have the MSBlaster/Sasser worm, this was fixed years ago by Micro$oft, have you not downloaded Windows Updates?
Do as speedy says too, sounds like youve got other nasty stuff also.
You probably also have a recovery partition on your hard drive (to reinstall your operating system), usually you press f2 or f12 (look for it when you reboot) on or after the compaq logo screen (I think).
