I went to try Bhowden's suggestion ( I do not have a name brand) but I tried reinstalling Win again and was told I have a newer version on my comp. which I guess is SP2 etc. Your second para is a bit over my head, do you mean just change the name of the folder which has my user name? You have to do a clean install, but then you'll lose everything. You'll have to reinstall everything. Your second para is a bit over my head, do you mean just change the name of the folder which has my user name? J You mean about uninstalling Java? If u do uninstall it. In Add/remove programs, and get the latest version in my sig below. |

Not a good idea to delete a folder, without uninstalling it first... Things will go haywire. Hmm I've never done what Bhowden said. See if he can give u a link to help u out. It maybe easier to do. |

Delete it, if its no longer in add/remove programs. Then install the latest version. Are there any other versions of Sun Java in add/remove programs? If there is uninstall them too. |
