569458 2007-07-16 08:36:00 Hi.

I have downloaded a video file from the internet and I tried to play it but it had no sound. I usually use Windows Media Player.
I have an Acer ASE380/AST180/APM8, AMD Althlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00GHz, 1023 MB RAM, 32-Bit Operating System, Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm only 17 so I don't know if this will help.
The video file is part of a series so I want to watch it so I can download the next episode.

The video file is 211 MB,
Data Rate - 179kbps
Total Bitrate - 384kbps
Bit Rate 384kbps
Frame Width - 768
Frame hieght - 579
(As i said, I don't know if this will help!)

Thanks a lot!

569459 2007-07-16 09:00:00 Use g-spot and find out what the codec for it is, and let us know radium (8645)
569460 2007-07-16 09:03:00 www.free-codecs.com radium (8645)
569461 2007-07-16 09:16:00 The Codec is XVID Ali_C (8971)
569462 2007-07-16 21:54:00 What about under the Audio section on the left? It should tell you what codec is needed & whether it's installed (which will be unlikely in this case). autechre (266)
569463 2007-07-16 22:52:00 correct me if I'm wrong here, but I've found the most common codec needed when there is no audio, only video is the AC3 codec.

try it out and report back
