| 569458 | 2007-07-16 08:36:00 | Hi. I have downloaded a video file from the internet and I tried to play it but it had no sound. I usually use Windows Media Player. I have an Acer ASE380/AST180/APM8, AMD Althlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00GHz, 1023 MB RAM, 32-Bit Operating System, Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm only 17 so I don't know if this will help. The video file is part of a series so I want to watch it so I can download the next episode. The video file is 211 MB, Data Rate - 179kbps Total Bitrate - 384kbps Bit Rate 384kbps Frame Width - 768 Frame hieght - 579 (As i said, I don't know if this will help!) Thanks a lot! | 569462 | 2007-07-16 21:54:00 | What about under the Audio section on the left? It should tell you what codec is needed & whether it's installed (which will be unlikely in this case). | autechre (266) | ||
| 569463 | 2007-07-16 22:52:00 | correct me if I'm wrong here, but I've found the most common codec needed when there is no audio, only video is the AC3 codec. http://ac3filter.net/ try it out and report back  |
