Ihave a message that keeps showing"internet explorer has stopped working windows is looking for a solution" I have had my computer back from hewlet packard under warranty for 1 week they put in a new hd for the second time, is this a software problem or hardware?
patto (12399)
569190 2007-07-15 01:29:00 So, IE doesnt open at all then??

Is that the exact message?? Cant say I've heard of that message.

Are all other programs working ok tho??

I would send it back and tell HP (or whoever fixed it last time), to fix it properly

569193 2007-07-15 02:28:00 Run a hijackthis scan and post it here so Speedy can check it out.

Also have you tried reinstalling IE? Don't know if it will fix your problem but you could try it none the less.

Is this a warning that come up after a reboot or when you try to go online.

569198 2007-07-15 03:29:00 Just re-read you 1st post.
Might pay to contact HP before you make to many changes.
Wouldn't hurt to post a hijackthis scan.
