570425 2007-07-19 23:44:00 I started up the PC this morning and even before going online my trusty firewall asked me to allow/dissallow an app called issas.exe to connect to the Internet.

Bugger. So I looked in my msconfig/startup and see two new entries - issas.exe and vpwodsr.exe.

I'm in the process of cleaning my system and shouldn't have any problems removing this virus/trojan.

But my question is.... how the heck did I get infected in the first place???

I mean... yesterday all was fine. I didn't visit any dodgy websites at all, and then overnight this damn infection crept into my system!

:annoyed:

570429 2007-07-20 00:42:00 Yeah, my NPF 2003 did that with a keylogger, just before it was about to send who knows what to where I don't know.. Agent_24 (57)
570430 2007-07-20 02:14:00 What AV software is running on that machine?AVG free. And after a full scan it hasn't picked it up! grr.

Nevermind, I have other means to kill the *****.

But yeah, Tweak'e, the firewall sure worked.

570433 2007-07-20 03:36:00 I have to say that I have been on BB for about 2 1/2 months now with no infections or compromised systems and my machine stays on 24/7. Such is life I guess. I do use Firefox though. winmacguy (3367)
