| 570294 | 2007-07-19 08:54:00 | My PC started playing up last week, nothing would display on the screen. I checked all the cables were plugged in tight and still couldn't get anything. All the fans and drives were spinning at this stage. Then today I pulled it apart and took the video card (Radeon x800XL) out, blew some dust off and reseated it. I did the same with the memory and the CPU fan. I checked all the power cables were plugged in and everything looked right. So I push the power button and get a half second fan wind up and it dies. I push the button again and the same thing happens. Seems like the PSU is providing an initial burst of power and then dieing out. The power switch feels normal with the normal travel and click so I don't think it is that. Any ideas or should I just replace the PSU? |

Although if I push it in repeatedly I can get the fans to spin up faster and faster almost to the speed they usually run at. But then the PC beeps and the mem light on the Mboard stays on till power is disconnected....that can't be good. | Sb0h (3744) | ||
