2007-07-19 04:08:00 | Are you taking about the usb ports on the motherboard or have you got a pci usb card installed. | ronyville (10611) | |
2007-07-19 04:14:00 | The easy way is to get a usb2 device like a usb drive etc.. & plug it in to each of the ports, your computer will soon tell you which is usb1 :D | stu161204 (123) | |

Its a HDD Ive bought it for playing dvix from the comp through the tv. If its a brand new HDD than you will need to format it first before you can use it. Right click on my computer and click "manage" and go to "disk management" and you should be able to see it there, right click on it and click format. |

2007-07-19 04:58:00 | Yup .. it said that in the instructions. Tried it and it couldnt see it in there. I plugged it in to power, light showing, plugged usb cables in .. this cable with it has one smaller attachment for the HDD and the other end has 2 USB attachments. Should both be plugged into comp? The instructions dont show this particular cable, its the only USB one.

2007-07-19 05:02:00 | The second USB may be the power for the harddrive, so yea plug it in see if shows up then. | Rob99 (151) | |
2007-07-19 05:06:00 | Just as long as its connected to power and its plugged into a USB port. Windows should see it, so u can format it so u can use it. It maybe a new hdd but what version of Windows is it and how old is the PC itself? I would go into the BIOS, see if theres a removable USB option/screen is it picking it up here.
