| 570118 | 2007-07-19 01:10:00 | Hey well recently i have joined the world of broadband now me and some friends want to get into the online gaming the game we are having trouble with is AOE2 the problem is we cannot connect to each others game we have disabled the firewall on xp what else must we do to connect?? and play we both are using D-link adsl routers from xtra any help is much appriciated thanks alot |

I haven't done this myself, but to run without a server (& possibly with), you'll have to change the firewall settings for your ADSL router also. I would strongly suggest you don't just disable the firewall there, or your Windows one - just open up the required IP ports (in the FAQ at the website above). Good luck - I might check this out myself, as AoE is still my all-time fave game. |
