| 570045 | 2007-07-18 23:04:00 | Hi there, I have googled this topic for ages and nothing seems to fix my problem. My desktop icon labels are no longer transparent on my monitor when my laptop is docked. They are when it isn't docked (on the laptop screen). I have tried going into system properties > advanced > performance > settings > and ticking "use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop". Ticking and unticking and applying the changes makes no difference to the icons' appearance each time. I tried a tool found here www.freevbcode.com which made the icons transparent, but without a drop shadow. This tool has to be running to keep the icons transparent, something I don't want to do. I have also tried copying my undocked hardware profile and using that as my docked profile but that made no difference either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |
