569926 2007-07-18 05:46:00 Powerpoint 2003 is stuck in MDI mode where all presentations open inside one parent window instead of having their own window.

I've tried the "windows in taskbar" option but that just adds a task bar button for each presentation. They still all open inside 1 parent window.

569928 2007-07-18 11:00:00 MDI: Multiple Document Interface. All 'child windows' are restricted to staying within their parent window, and are managed by the parent window (think Photoshop).

SDI: Single Document Interface. Each 'child' is a fully blown independant window in its own right, and is managed by the OS (think GIMP).

Spot on. Can you offer any insight into my problem?
