| 570376 | 2007-07-21 19:13:00 | It's not an onboard one, no. I purchased it myself individually. I'll try and disable it in the BIOS then. But I don't know what would happen because I have no volume on or available at all. You have to disable the onboard in the BIOS, as that and the Audigy may conflict. Is the Audigy one of these (www.soundblaster.com) Or have a look here (www.creative.com) Didnt the Audigy 2 come with a cd with drivers on it? You wont have sound or volume, UNTIL you install drivers. My modem is a SpeedTouch ADSL modem(1.1mbps). And what and where would I get those drivers from? I don't even know what they are. Did you get this from somewhere like Dick Smith?? If u did do a search for it, see if the drivers are there. And this modem is PCI is it?? If this isnt going/working how are u getting on the net?? What are you using? |

| 570377 | 2007-07-21 19:17:00 | Instead of DISABLE, try to remove the driver and reboot and see what Windows does about it . It MIGHT make it work then . I'd also look for conflicts too . . I've had the wrong interrupts tie up the sound card with the modem in an installation or two in the past . This seems to be a dial-up problem so far in my experience, but it MIGHT also be a screw-up that can happen on DSL too . |

If this isnt going/working how are u getting on the net?? What are you using? I got the disc with the soundcard, but like I've said it's badly damaged and unuseable . Which is why I need a miracle! Or a driver! I have the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 24 . bit Advanced HD 192kHz/106dB SNR, disc . I don't know if this have anything to do with it, but to add to my list of recent problems, whenever I receive any warning messages such as when you delete cookies ,etc, or input wrong passwords on certain screens like on my MSN, my computer beeps . I've tried looking in the CP and in Sound but don't know where else to look? And above that, the 2nd repair I did messed up some key buttons such as the @ button, which is now Shift + 2, instead of Shift + @ . I seem to be getting a bundle of minor problems at once . I get on the Internet the same way as I ever have done . No problems there . I've done another updated HijackThis . I haven't cleared the first ones you told me to yet because I am unsure on the HPSETUP and the Internet . Do you notice any changes? | 570382 | 2007-07-24 17:48:00 | So, guessing that's bad news? Not really, but if I read your post correctly, you identified it as a sound card...that's all. |
