| 570992 | 2007-07-21 13:39:00 | I have been trying to instal a video editing sotfware ( Pinnacle versio 1.0 ) on my computer and when the process finishes, it says " the computer is cinfigering your software" but it takes so long and at one time I left my computer on over night hoping it was going to complte installing but never did. I have unstalled it and tried to re-instal but the same thing happens as a result my DV camcorder cannot be recognised by the computer Im using firewire cable. Plaese help fkapepa |

| 570993 | 2007-07-21 19:04:00 | But does XP if you're using XP install drivers for the DV cam?? XP SHOULD detect the DV cam, once its connected and the cam is switched on. (switch it to camera I think it is). And bring up a ballon saying the brand of the cam.. Does this come up? Without a program. Altho IIRC Gumdigger had the same prob, for some reason, his system couldnt pick up a DV cam either. On his firewire ports. Try Moviemaker if u have XP, or Nero/Nerovision, if these are installed. Moviemaker should be able to pick the DV cam up. |
