570969 2007-07-21 08:15:00 Hi, I'm currently having issues with Media center in Vista, I can access my music with no problems but when I go to open any of my video folders it looks up and then crashes (was working fine up until today) It also does the same thing when I use media center from my xbox 360.

Any Ideas ??

570970 2007-07-21 08:20:00 I've had intermittent issues with this too (Vista Ultimate), which I haven't been able to fix. somebody (208)
570971 2007-07-21 09:01:00 Are the videos stored on the Vista PC or somewhere else?
Can you open all the video folders from Windows Explorer OK?

570972 2007-07-21 09:04:00 Hi yes they are on the vista pc and yes can open all the folders fine from windows explorer Overdrive_5000 (4950)
570973 2007-07-21 09:12:00 Haven't used the media center in vista but if it is the same XP MCE 2005 you can manually add or remove folders that contain your media.

Can you remove all the video folders and add them in again to see if that fixes it?

570974 2007-07-21 09:30:00 Can't find a remove folders setting but found one that says stop watching this folder and that didn't work Overdrive_5000 (4950)
570975 2007-07-21 10:20:00 Is the issue specific to certain file types? I had issue with DivX encoded video files. I think I managed to (at least tempoarily) resolve the problem by reinstalling the codec. somebody (208)
570976 2007-07-22 00:02:00 Tried reinstalling my codecs with no luck its as if part of media center has become corrputed or something, Looks like I might have to reinstall vista Overdrive_5000 (4950)
