| 571478 | 2007-07-23 20:37:00 | To get an extension you visit the Extension site, select the one you desire and it installs itself, The extra options these add are found sitting on one of the upper taskbars of the browser window or on the right click menu, extensiona already installed can be configured via Tools>add ons. Unfortunately, WMP9 will play the sound but not the Video. I note there is a warning on the downloader that this could happen and the problem would be a codec missing. Ok, but I thought WMP9 played .avi files? Anyone point me in the right direction? WMP9 & XP Home. |

It's because Youtube now uses the H . 264 codec for video, which WMP doesn't support by default .
